Dwell Housing - Community Centred Mixed Tenure Development

Advice on affordable, mixed tenure design to a Wellington community housing provider.

Dwell Housing Trust requested advice to understanding the full spectrum of housing models that were available to achieve a range of tenures and to configure the mix of dwelling typologies in a way that supported community.

TUA provided advice on leading urban design trends and their impact on community wellbeing across urban design and environmental sustainability. We also provided an analysis of the New Zealand housing spectrum and applicable case studies along with a market demand analysis. 

Our advice and analysis was guided by the strategic project setting which we facilitated. TUA also helped Dwell crystalise its environmental sustainability goals and considerations for this and future developments. Lastly, we also assisted Dwell in its talks with a potential development partner about the opportunity to comprehensively master plan and develop the neighbouring sit as a single development opportunity that would provide additional housing as well as spaces for community gathering.
