Tāmaki Open Space Network Plan Engagement

Public engagement and consultation planning for Open Space Network planning.

The Local Board and Council required support to consult on the draft Tāmaki Open Space Network Plan.

TUA worked alongside council and the Local Board to develop a strategy for the public consultation on the draft Tāmaki Open Space Network Plan to increases community awareness and understanding of the Plan and the wider regeneration initiative, for approval by the Board. Consultation focused on the next step in implementing reserve development and how the community can be engaged in this process and how it will impact them.

Consultation on the key moves and prioritised actions was recommended to provide a more rounded level of feedback.  Consultation on specific Concept Plans also needed to be factored into the consultation on the wider Plan.  The output included presentation to Council on the proposed changes to the draft Open Space Network Plan as a result of the community engagement.
